What is your bridal Style?

Romantic

The Soft, Romantic look for a bride will never go out of style! If you love the feel of your hair down your back and the cut of your dress compliments long, flowy locks, then I say go for it! There are no rules saying a bride must wear their hair up.  A half up style might suit you as well.  This will give your veil and hair-piece (if any) something to hold on to.  It will also lift some weight up so that your style will hold. Before your trial, clip some pictures from bridal magazines that show off the type and size of curl you are looking for. Do you want tons of curl? or do you want a soft wave (the Victoria Secret look)?Keep in mind that your hair type and length will determine if your locks are able to pull off the look you are going for.  Hair extentions might be neccessary for length or volume to transform your hair into the "Romantic look" you are going for! Ask your stylist about clip in hair extensions. They are a temporary solution for your wedding day.  Most brides are not looking to spend hundreds or even Thousands of dollars on hair that will be permanent. (or at least last a few months) Clips ins are comfortable and sturdy. (no hair will be flying during your first dance!) They can even be Real human hair, so that your stylist can use heated tools on them and you can wash and reuse again and again.  Depending on the color, length and texture of the hair extentions, you are looking at a one time investment of $35 to $150 for the cost of the hair. (at least from KyleLynn)

Natural Bride

Natural brides typically don’t wear alot of makeup if any at all! A natural bride is comfortable in their own skin and is not looking for a change when it comes to their wedding day look. Makeup should be all about perfecting what you have and not about adding to it. Accentuating your natural features is what I recommend. Foundation only where you need it and then spot perfecting with a light high pigment concealer. For your eyeshadow, maybe try two shades of shadow ( maybe a soft rose on the bottom and then a light petal glow on top ) and then some mascara! Blush should be applied to accentuate your features to give a healthy glow to your skin. I always recommend a little more blush than you might wear on a daily basis ( for pictures). A good tip for putting blush on . . .

*draw an invisibile line from the outside corner of your eye down and then from the tip of your nose out. Put your brush where the two lines meet and then apply your blush in an upward motion towards the top of your ear. This works for everyone! Try it!!!

When it comes to your lips, a little color is a must. A naturalist might not like the feel of “stuff” on their lips, so if this is you . . . then maybe try a lipliner instead. Use a soft hand and fill in completely. Now you won’t “feel” like you have stuff gooped on your lips ( and your husband to be won’t be afraid to kiss you at the alter! ) A Natural bride's hair style can go two directions depending on the over all style of your wedding.  If soft and tosseled hair style is your choice, then maybe try a small bundle of fresh flowers to add a nice "natural" accent to your hair.  Ask your florist about different types of flowers that will last all night and with stand the elements.  A good, popular choice is orchids or Callalilis.

Modern Girl

If you are a bride to be and you happen to love the modern day "Hollywood Glamour" then you are the "Modern Girl" bride!  Chances are that your ideas for your hair and makeup have changed every week. Completely normal, being the "modern girl" you are!  Let your creativity soar when it comes to your hair for the big day and try to keep your makeup from getting too crazy.  You still want to look like You!  Your makeup needs to compliment your natural features and look good in your wedding pictures and videos.  Depending on the dress, flowers and hairstyle you go with either play up the eyes or lips.  Your makeup artist can help create a flawless glow that will show off You and not your makeup. Modern Glamour is (after all) all about fresh, flawless skin.

When it comes you your hair style, a trial run is a must! Work with your stylist to create a look that is a reflection of you and the "trendy you". It's ok to go into a trial without a picture of the exact style you are looking for. As you are flipping through your bridal magazines getting ideas for the reception and flowers, clip pictures of hair (and make-up) that you like and even don't like. (I like the volume in this one, I like the curls, I like this side part, etc.) Then at your trial, you can consult with your artist about the looks you found. This will help your stylist get to know what you are comfortable with and give you a direction to go. The possibilities for your finished look are endless! Let your stylist get creative, as you have already given her some guidelines! Let loose and have fun!!
